1. Mineral Foundation - Overall score: 8/10

The foundation comes 2 little pots of 2g each, which last approximately three months. One is for summer and the other for winter.

Skin tone options are extensive and you will surely find yours. They are: fair, light, medium, tan, warm tan and deep. This foundation is very easily applied with a powder brush. The trick is to use "little" product and buff it into your skin. Less is more.

This powder foundation gets my vote. It works on my problem skin (dry and oily patches, uneven skin tone, blemishes ), giving the appearance of smoother skin. And even though it does not cover heavy pimples, it does even out my skin tone without looking overly made up.

Definitely a good product.

This very fine powder is used on top of the foundation to give a healthy glow. It's very light and transparent so you won't feel it or see it.

It works well, giving glow and warmth to my skin and instantly making me look more "awake".

If one day you are in a hurry, use only this to give your face a "healthy" glow.

3. Warmth - Overall score: 6/10

This is a bronzer to be apply to cheeks, temples, hairline and along jaw line to diminish a double chin. I use it as a contouring powder to slim my face.

The color is very dark so be careful. Being in a powder form makes it difficult to collect exactly the right amount of product. At the beginning, I always used too much, had to take my makeup off and start again. I now got the hang of it but it took me a while.

Of all the Bare Minerals makeup products in the starter kit, this is the easiest to screw up.

It works very well as a contouring powder though so it's worth it.

4. Bare Vitamins - Skin Primer - Overall score: 6/10

This is a skin primer to be used before or after your moisturizer, as a base for your makeup.

This formula is non oily, absorbs very quickly and makes the face feel fresh. However, I have seen little evidence to support better makeup application.

Not an essential product, your normal moisturizer will work just as well.

5. Flawless Application Brush - Overall score: 9/10

Apply your foundation powder, bronzer and mineral veil with this brush.

This is a an excellent Bare Minerals makeup product. The bristles are slightly stiffer than normal brushes, which is perfect for fine minerals. It also works very well when buffing (circular movements) the powder foundation into your skin.

Another plus is its smaller size which makes it easy to carry in makeup bags.

Definitely a good product.

6. Small Concealer Brush - Overall score: 8/10

Use your powder foundation as a concealer. This is a smaller precision brush to be used on localised problem areas, to cover pimples etc.

This is a great brush to target smaller problem areas. Use it before or after applying the foundation powder. The smaller size of the brush is, again, very convenient to carry.

Definitely a good product.

7. Small Kabuki Brush - Overall score: 8/10

Use this brush is you desire FULL coverage. Buff the foundation into your skin. The fuller bristles help the foundation penetrate deeply into skin.

This is an excellent makeup brush. It's small, making it easy to carry, and effective.

I love it!

Wearing Bare Minerals makeup makes me look and feel like I am NOT wearing makeup . This is exactly what I want.

It covers imperfections and evens out my skin tone, without making me feel like I have a mask on. Pretty great!

And they are great for any skin types, ie, oily, dry or combination due to their natural ingredients.

It doesn't get any better than this!
