Quick Eye Makeup Tricks
** A Simple Solution to Your Problem **
Makeup can really work wonders for your eyes! The below eye makeup tricks can help you camouflage your problem.
I have quite a few issues to hide so I can relate :-)
Different Shaped Eyes
Small eyes: Don’t use too much shadow or liner – it will make you eyes look smaller. Apply a light color on eyelid, use a darker color in the crease and use a highlighter under the brow.
Large eyes: Wear darker shadow on the lid and extend it to the crease. Use a flat color under the brow to highlight.
Deep-set eyes: Use light colors on the eyelid and under the brow. Use a medium color in the crease. Emphasize the outer corners with shadow.
Wide-set eyes: Use darker colors on the inner corners of the eye.
Hooded eyes: Apply light colors on the lid. Use darker colors from the center of the eyelid to the outer corners and blend.
Round eyes: Make round eyes longer by using color all around and extending toward the outer corners.
Oriental eyes: Apply highlighter under the brow. Use light shadow on the inner half of the lid and a darker color on the outer half.
Create the Illusion of Thicker Lashes
This step is a perfect eye makeup tricks if you have few eyelashes or want to make them look thicker than they are. Sharpen your eye pencil, and for daytime makeup use one in dark brown or grey (for it to look more natural) and apply it in small touches (not in a line) among the lashes on the upper lid, avoiding the tear duct area, and end up three or four lashes short of where the eye ends.
The idea is that it looks like we have more lashes, not like we are wearing mascara.
If it is too noticeable, its because you have put too much product on. Don’t worry: just blend it out with a fine brush or a Q-tip.
Tired Eyes
Been out late the night before? We don't recover as quickly as when we were twenty, right? No problem! The below makeup tip will make your eyes look alert and fresh!
One stunning effect that can be achieved easily and a favorite of such well-known actresses from Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe to Gwyneth Paltrow, is rimming (the lower water line) the eyes with either a white or nude/flesh tone eye pencil,. This gets rid of any redness and makes your eyes look more "wide eyed" and alert.
Good "nude" liners are MAC's Naked liner or The Body Shop's lip liner N.11 in Nude. They are both for lips but you can use them as you wish.
Next time you are watching television, look at the makeup on actresses. You'll be amazed at how many use these eye makeup tricks.
Eyeliner Application Trouble?
We've all had trouble with eyeliner application, especially liquid liners.
Using a good magnifying mirror, so that your eyes are magnified sufficiently to see very clearly what you are about to do and ensure a smooth application of the liquid eyeliner.
Also, rest your little finger on your cheeks to stabilise your hand, this helps me a lot :-)
These super simple eye makeup tricks really work wonders and don't cost a thing!
Eyelash curler Top Tip
Are you having trouble curling your lashes? Many women do. They have to use the curler throughout the day. So here's a tip.
Take a blow dryer and heat your eyelash curler for a few seconds. The heat/warmth will curl your lashes more effectively in an istant. Just make sure it's not too hot :-)
